Real Madrid will be without Facundo Campazzo for the second round of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season.
Euroleague Basketball announced the disciplinary sanctions for Round 1 on Tuesday, following an investigation into Campazzo's actions during Real Madrid’s game against FC Bayern Munich at the SAP Garden last Thursday. As a result, the 33-year-old Argentine point guard has been handed a one-game suspension, ruling him out of the upcoming match against Partizan Mozzart Bet at WiZink Center on Thursday. In addition to the suspension, Campazzo was fined €5,000.
According to Euroleague Basketball's official statement: “Mr. Facundo Campazzo, player of Real Madrid, has been sanctioned with a one-game suspension and a fine of €5,000 for actions that represent a lack of respect towards the referees, in connection with the away game against Bayern Munich, as per article 27.2.b of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”
