Real Madrid have reportedly ended any speculation surrounding the futures of Fede Valverde and Vinicius Júnior.
According to Diario AS, both players will serve as captains next season, with Valverde becoming the club's first captain and Vinicius the second. The appointments reinforce Real Madrid's confidence in the pair after previous speculation linked them with possible departures.
Their roles are based on seniority within the squad, but both players are also regarded as key figures on and off the pitch.
Despite incidents during the previous campaign, including Vinicius' disagreement with Xabi Alonso and Valverde's altercation with Aurélien Tchouaméni, the club continues to place its trust in both players. Real Madrid also believe José Mourinho's arrival will help ensure those situations are not repeated.
