Florentino Pérez confirmed during his press conference that Real Madrid is preparing a dossier to submit to UEFA regarding the Negreira case, which he described as “The biggest scandal in history.”

“The corruption in the Negreira case is systemic,” Florentino Pérez said while criticizing the current refereeing structure in Spanish football. “They’ve been paying for two decades, but now it’s the same referees for this third decade. We will present a substantial dossier to UEFA so they can address this issue at its root and resolve the case for the good of world football.”

The Real Madrid president also questioned comments made by the president of the CTA. “For us to have to listen to the president of the CTA saying that these are things we should forget… But how can we forget them? We’re preparing a 500-page dossier that we’re going to send to UEFA; I’ve already spoken with them. There’s no precedent for this in the history of world football. How can we forget the biggest corruption case in history? It’s incomprehensible that we’re still seeing referees from that era in a competition like La Liga.”

Florentino Pérez insisted that UEFA will eventually intervene in the matter. “Let’s see if we’re serious and UEFA finally gets involved in this matter, which they will, because they can’t allow the most important football, which is European football, to be under suspicion of corruption paid for over 20 years. We’ll see what happens with the criminal proceedings and then with the sporting ones at UEFA, which agreed to let us send them the entire dossier. And we’ll see what happens.”

He later revealed that the report has been in development for the last two years. “We’ve been working on it for two years. It’s an accumulation of objective facts. We’re going to get to the bottom of this. Because it’s the most serious case of corruption that has happened in the history of football. It’s for the good of football, not to go after Barcelona.”

The dossier has reportedly been in preparation since at least the start of the current season. Real Madrid TV referenced the matter in September following controversial refereeing decisions, including Dean Huijsen’s sending-off against Real Sociedad on the fourth matchday of La Liga.

“We’ve been left empty-handed, and I’ve been here I don’t know how many seasons and I’ve only won seven European Cups and seven league titles, which could have been 14 because they’ve been stolen from me. We’ve made a video about the 18 points they’ve taken from us this season. I can’t stay silent about that,” he concluded.
