Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez offered words of comfort to Luka Modric during the trophy presentation following the team’s 2-5 loss to FC Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final.
“We have to lose a final at some point, right?” Pérez said to the 39-year-old Croatian midfielder, as captured by the cameras of Fútbol en Movistar Plus+.
Modric, who joined Real Madrid in 2012 from Tottenham Hotspur, has had an illustrious career with the club, winning 22 titles, including six Spanish Super Cups, in his time wearing the iconic white shirt.
