Florentino Pérez is optimistic that Real Madrid will overcome Atlético Madrid in the upcoming Champions League clash. The club president has expressed his belief that the players will rise to the occasion and deliver their best performance of the season in Wednesday's match at the Metropolitano.
According to Defensa Central, Pérez had a private conversation with Kylian Mbappé in the dressing room after the first leg. "Listen, Kylian, on Wednesday we will win 2-0, and you will score both goals. Remember that," Pérez reportedly told the star forward, in a bid to boost his morale.
While confident, Pérez is also realistic about the challenge that awaits. He acknowledged that Atlético Madrid always elevate their game at home, especially when facing Real Madrid. With a charged atmosphere and home fans pushing their team, the return leg is expected to be a fierce battle.
