Real Madrid's Sports City, which houses the training ground and various facilities, has been renamed "The Florentino Pérez Sports City." While the change has yet to be official by Real Madrid, the Madrid City Council’s website already lists the complex under the new name.

The renaming was approved during the club’s General Assembly in December 2023, with over 1,000 members voting in favor of the motion. Florentino Pérez, however, expressed hesitation and requested a delay in the name change. His request was ultimately denied by the Assembly.

"I only ask that you put my name when I say it because I am not yet psychologically prepared to see my name on the door of the sports city," Florentino remarked during the meeting. He added, "I have never sought this type of recognition. I can only express my deep gratitude, but I want to do it discreetly," after the Assembly’s decision to proceed with the renaming.
