The Santiago Bernabéu stadium will continue to be called in the same name as long as Florentino Pérez is the president of Real Madrid. The current merengue temple has been immersed in a transformation for several years, but it will continue to be called the same in the coming years, as confirmed by the president: "It will never bear my name. It will be called Bernabéu forever. It was him who created all this, we only continue his work. He wanted this stadium in 1947, a very ambitious project, he was the first to take the team to America when it seemed crazy... Everything we are, we owe to him. Besides, the name of our stadium is already a 'brand'. The youngsters, perhaps, do not know who the Bernabéu was, but they say 'see you at the Bernabéu'", he commented during an interview with Tuttosport.

It is uncertain whether the name of the Sports City will be changed. When Florentino Pérez took over as president of the club for the first time, he had a dream to build the best sports city in the world. The resources would enable the white team to advocate for a different way of being, thinking, and preparing for games. The first team has had its unique rooms in Valdebebas for a few years now. There they concentrate for the matches at the Santiago Bernabéu or before heading to a new Champions League final.

The president believes it would not be a bad idea to associate himself with the Sports City instead of the Santiago Bernabéu: "They are welcome to give my name to the sports city. However, the venue will always be known as Santiago Bernabéu".
