Since it was revealed just 24 hours ago that Barcelona paid a vice-president of the Referees Committee to "advise" them on arbitrations, more information about the scandal has continued to emerge.
Andújar Oliver, a former First Division referee who witnessed the events in person, provided more insight on Wednesday night.
In 'Onda Cero', Oliver detailed how the son of Enriquez Negreira called the referees to take them in his own car to the Camp Nou before the most difficult matches.
"Before the important matches that Barcelona played at the Camp Nou, the son of Enriquez Negreira, who was involved in the Technical Committee, would call the referees ," he said.
"He asked them what hotel they were in and took them to the matches in his car. He was saying: 'here I bring them to the slaughterhouse,'" he added.
All of this is the result of information that was revealed by the 'Què t'hi jugues' program of Cadena Ser, which claimed that Barça paid former First Division referee José María Enríquez Negreira a total of 1,392,680 euros.
The reason? As the aforementioned media outlet explained, "the FCB wanted to make sure that arbitration decisions were not taken against it, 'that everything was neutral'".
