Real Madrid Women claimed a convincing win away to Espanyol at the Dani Jarque Sports City to book their place in the Copa de la Reina quarterfinals, which will be held between February 3 and 5.
The team opened the scoring early through a superb strike by Linda Caicedo in the 12th minute. Just before the break, Iris Ashley doubled the lead with a composed right-footed finish in the 44th minute. The match was decided shortly after halftime, as the forwards struck twice in quick succession: Caicedo netted her second goal in the 53rd minute, and the academy product completed her brace three minutes later to seal a dominant performance.
