Real Madrid completed their final training session at Valdebebas Sports City on Saturday, just a day before their LaLiga clash against Real Oviedo at the Carlos Tartiere (Sunday, 9:30 p.m.). The meeting carries special weight, as it will be the first time the two sides face each other in 24 years, marking a symbolic fixture for the Asturian club in their return to Spain’s top flight.

Both teams head into their second league match of the season. Madrid arrives after a tight 1-0 victory over Osasuna, while Oviedo began their campaign with a defeat against Villarreal.

For Xabi Alonso, squad management remains a challenge. Jude Bellingham, Endrick, Ferland Mendy, and Eduardo Camavinga are still unavailable, continuing their recovery from injuries. All four trained apart from the group on Saturday, while the rest of the squad enjoyed a session marked by intensity and good spirits.

There was, however, positive news: the return of Antonio Rüdiger. The German center-back has finished serving his six-match suspension handed down by the Federation after being sanctioned for “throwing an object from the technical area” during last season’s Copa del Rey final. With the ban lifted, Rüdiger is once again at Alonso’s disposal and could feature in the squad for the trip to Oviedo.
