Fran García will remain at Real Madrid and will once again occupy the left wing of the team alongside Ferland Mendy next season. Initially, the potential signing of Alphonso Davies cast doubt on his future at the Santiago Bernabéu. However, the inability to secure the Canadian player this summer has led the Merengue club to back their youth player and rule out his departure. This decision was made despite the left-back receiving attractive offers.
One offer came from the Premier League, specifically from Andoni Iraola's Bournemouth, and another, previously unknown, came from La Liga. Apart from rejecting the English team's offer, Fran García and Real Madrid also turned down an important club in the First Division, Villarreal.
According to the newspaper AS, the Yellow Submarine recently contacted Real Madrid's leadership to inquire about García, who is highly regarded by Marcelino García Toral. However, Madrid's response was negative, as this would leave Ancelotti with only Mendy at left back.
Bayern Munich have not lowered their demands for Davies, making his signing this summer quite unlikely. The Canadian will have to wait another year without renewing his contract to move to Valdebebas as a free agent next season. Until then, Fran García will remain with Real Madrid.
