Fran García is proving that commitment can be just as important as talent. The Real Madrid left-back was recently spotted putting in extra work at the club’s training complex despite the squad being given a day off.
According to El Chiringuito de Jugones, García spent around four and a half hours at Valdebebas, going in and out of the facilities while carrying out individual training sessions to stay in top physical condition ahead of the team’s return to training on Tuesday.
Real Madrid will resume competition this week without injured players such as Thibaut Courtois, Dani Ceballos, and Ferland Mendy. In addition, several players are returning from international duty with accumulated fatigue, making squad depth even more important in the coming matches.
In that context, García’s extra effort is unlikely to go unnoticed by coach Arbeloa. The left-back has already earned praise from the manager in previous press conferences for his work rate and professionalism, even when he hasn’t been a regular starter.
With Mendy and Carreras absent, García has begun to gain more opportunities in recent matches. His commitment and strong performances could now help him secure even more minutes in the weeks ahead.
