France Football has reportedly initiated contact with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to clarify the confusion surrounding Rodri's win over Vinicius Junior for the Ballon d'Or.
According to El Chiringuito, Real Madrid was preparing to attend the ceremony with Vinicius, expecting him to be the winner. However, they were taken by surprise when Rodri was announced as the recipient at the last minute.
Florentino Perez, furious with the unexpected outcome, reportedly instructed the club to boycott the event.
France Football now seeks to address the situation and ease tensions by providing explanations to Perez. "They want to talk to Florentino and explain everything," the report stated.
