The 2026 Mutua Madrid Open has introduced its most striking innovation away from the Caja Mágica, with the Santiago Bernabéu transformed into a clay tennis court. The stadium will serve as a training venue for players, with official practice sessions beginning on Friday, April 24.
The court was inaugurated with an exhibition match featuring Jannik Sinner, Rafael Nadal, Thibaut Courtois and Jude Bellingham. Organizers have also released a time-lapse video showcasing the rapid transformation of the Bernabéu pitch into a clay surface.
