Serhat Pekmezci, one of Arda Güler’s early football mentors, has made explosive claims regarding the Turkish midfielder’s situation at Real Madrid. In an interview with Sports Digitale, Pekmezci suggested that the young player is facing internal difficulties within the dressing room.

“Even though Real Madrid is a megaclub, Arda Güler is suffering from mobbing,” he said. “It’s not that he complained to me, but he knew this could happen. I told him to be patient.”

Pekmezci went further, alleging that the pressure comes from within the squad itself. “The harassment came from the players. There is a group there that has not been able to accept Arda. Unfortunately, they are players with very high egos,” he claimed.

According to Güler’s mentor, the midfielder has tried to remain calm despite the situation. “Arda is very patient and self-aware, but even he has started to question it, thinking, ‘Why is it always me?’”

Pekmezci also linked what he described as a toxic dressing-room environment to broader issues at the club. He claimed that it played a role in managerial decisions, stating: “Klopp already said that some players needed to leave for him to arrive. That’s also why Xabi Alonso left.”

The remarks have generated strong reactions in Turkey, though there has been no official response from Real Madrid or the player.
