Getafe have denounced Real Madrid for improper alignment to the Competition Committee. The azulón club considers that one of the substitutions of the white team in last weekend's match occurred illegally.
In particular, Asensio was set to come out in minute 84, but Camavinga's injury changed everything, and the Frenchman was eventually the one who left the pitch. Getafe claims that because Odriozola had already entered the field, the substitution was already completed and Asensio had to go rather than Camavinga.
The complaint has been forwarded to Real Madrid by the Federation. The white club will have three days to present its claims. The case will be investigated by the Competition Committee.
One of the sections of the rule that specifies how to proceed with the substitutions is that "a substitution will end when the substitute enters the field of play." And that is exactly what Getafe is demanding: because Odriozola was already on the pitch, the substitute had to be Asensio rather than Camavinga. If the complaint is accepted, Getafe will win the game (0-3).
