Real Madrid Castilla secured a decisive victory against Algeciras at the Nuevo Mirador stadium, thanks to four goals from Gonzalo, the league's top scorer. He broke the deadlock with a header in the 57th minute, followed by a well-controlled finish in the 70th minute, and a penalty goal in the 81st minute. Gonzalo capped off his performance with a right-footed strike from the edge of the box during added time, sealing a 1-4 win. This is the second time this season he has scored four goals in a match, having done so previously against Mérida in the 15th round, and netting a hat-trick against Intercity.
