Gregor Kobel’s name has once again emerged in connection with Real Madrid, with Borussia Dortmund’s goalkeeper reportedly offered to the Spanish club.
According to José Félix Díaz, Real Madrid are well acquainted with the 28-year-old Swiss international and have closely followed his progress in recent years. However, their interest has never progressed beyond monitoring the player, and there is currently no movement from the club.
Kobel has established himself as one of the standout goalkeepers in European football through his performances for Borussia Dortmund. He has extensive experience at the highest level and remains under contract with the German club until 2028.
His name has now resurfaced in relation to Real Madrid, but the current situation at the Bernabéu does not require an immediate move for a goalkeeper. Thibaut Courtois remains the first-choice option, meaning the club can continue to monitor the market without any urgency.
Kobel being offered to Real Madrid does not mean the club has opened negotiations or initiated contact to sign him. As José Félix Díaz reports, Madrid have simply continued to keep track of the goalkeeper and have not taken any further steps so far.
The club remains attentive to the market and aware of the alternatives that could become available in the future, with Kobel now among the names on its radar.
