Real Madrid forward Guerschon Yabusele is on the verge of making a return to the NBA, with reports indicating he is "in serious talks" to join the Philadelphia 76ers. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Yabusele is close to finalizing a deal that would see him leave the Blancos and return to the NBA, where he previously played for the Boston Celtics from 2017 to 2019.
Yabusele's contract with Real Madrid includes a €2.5 million buyout, which the French forward is expected to resolve in order to sign with the Sixers. This move comes after a successful stint in Europe, where Yabusele became a key player for Real Madrid. Over the last three seasons, he won numerous titles, including the 2023 EuroLeague and multiple ACB and SuperCup trophies.
Yabusele's strong performances during the 2024 Olympic Games also contributed to the renewed NBA interest. The 28-year-old forward averaged 14.0 points and 3.3 rebounds, playing a pivotal role in leading France to a silver medal. His standout performances in the knockout stages, including impressive games against Canada, Germany, and Team USA, have made him an attractive prospect for NBA teams.
