Gunars Grinvalds made his official debut for Real Madrid in the Liga Endesa opener against Dreamland Gran Canaria. The young forward, born on January 22, 2008, achieved this milestone at just 17 years and 8 months old.
He entered the game in the fourth quarter, spending 1 minute and 6 seconds on the court and scoring his first point in Real Madrid’s 81–71 victory at the Movistar Arena.
Grinvalds joined Real Madrid’s youth academy in 2021 and has since progressed through every level of the club’s development system. The Lithuanian talent also became the first academy player to make his debut under coach Sergio Scariolo this season.
