Eden Hazard returned to training with the rest of the Real Madrid squad for the first group session following the 1-0 loss in the derby to Atletico Madrid on Sunday,

On March 29, the Belgian underwent ankle surgery to remove the plate he had been wearing since December 2019. Hazard is looking forward to spending the final months of the LaLiga season with his teammates. It is great news for a locker room that holds him in such high regard.

Hazard is already training with the group, but he is unlikely to play a major role in the final few games of the season because he needs to get in shape and be ready for next season.

Although a departure would not be detrimental to Real Madrid, the player has no intention of leaving. For the 31-year-old, the summer will be critical.

In the coming games, the former Chelsea man will be hoping to get some minutes against Cadiz or Real Betis in LaLiga Santander.
