After opening 2026 with an emphatic victory over Betis, Real Madrid returned to Valdebebas to begin preparations for the Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Atlético Madrid. The clash will take place on Thursday at the King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah, kicking off at 8:00 PM Spanish time (10:00 PM local time).
The team will complete their final training session tomorrow before traveling to Saudi Arabia. Immediately after that session, the club is expected to announce the squad list, which should feature nearly all available players. The final decisions regarding match involvement will be made once the team arrives in Saudi Arabia.
The latest medical update brings both encouragement and uncertainty. Huijsen completed the full training session with the group and is once again available to Xabi Alonso. Mbappé, however, trained indoors, and his availability will depend on how he responds ahead of the final session. Meanwhile, Militao and Trent continue their individual recovery programs away from the group.
