Former Real Madrid midfielder Isco has reflected candidly on the challenges he faced during his time at the club, taking full responsibility for how things ended.
“Some coaches value you more than others — that’s just football,” he admitted, alluding to possible tensions with certain managers.
He added: “Over time, things became more complicated for me at Madrid. When you're not in the right place mentally, it affects your performance.”
The Spaniard also acknowledged that he struggled to bounce back: “I was going through a rough patch both on and off the pitch. I didn’t know how to recover. The only one responsible for my failure is me.”
