Real Madrid may be considering a new defensive reinforcement in the form of Jonathan Tah, as the German defender's contract with Bayer Leverkusen approaches its expiration in 2025. According to reports from German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Tah, 28, has decided not to renew with Leverkusen and is looking for a new challenge elsewhere.

Real Madrid's interest comes as they observe the situation closely, with the possibility of bringing Tah to the Bernabéu for free, similar to how they secured Antonio Rüdiger and David Alaba in recent seasons. While Bayern Munich has shown interest and put an offer on the table, Tah is reportedly not entirely satisfied with their proposal, leaving the door open for Real Madrid to make a move.

As Ramón Álvarez de Mon recently pointed out, Tah is seen as a strong candidate to bolster Madrid’s defense, and Los Blancos are monitoring the developments before making a final decision on whether to pursue him.
