Joselu Mato posted an emotional letter on his social networks to say goodbye to everyone around Real Madrid: president, general manager, teammates, coach, club employees and fans. It begins with the word 'Thank you' (the most repeated in the text) to thank everything experienced on a return to what became his home in 2010 after joining Castilla at the age of 20.

He had the best season of his career in terms of titles. 19 goals, 3 titles (Champions, La Liga and Spanish Super Cup) and an unforgettable double against Bayern that ended up being key for the white club to win the Decimoquinta.

He is joining Al-Gharafa after Real Madrid exercised their purchase option to facilitate his move to Qatar, where he has signed for two years and 17 million (8.5 net per season).
