According to our colleague Miguel Ángel Díaz, Real Madrid had intended to exercise the purchase option by paying €1.5 million to Espanyol. However, the forward has opted for a change of scenery due to the imminent arrivals of Frenchman Kylian Mbappé and Brazilian starlet Endrick. Joselu's new team, which is expected to be Al Gharafa from Qatar, will be officially announced in the coming hours.
