Jude Bellingham delivered another outstanding performance for England, scoring in the quarterfinal against Norway and earning the admiration of more than 30,000 England supporters at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.
In the 106th minute of extra time, the crowd broke into The Beatles' "Hey Jude" in tribute to the Real Madrid midfielder, who had once again played a decisive role after England came from behind to secure victory.
Bellingham had already scored twice against Mexico in the round of 16 and added another brace against Norway to continue his remarkable World Cup campaign.
At 23 years and 12 days old, the Real Madrid star became the second-youngest player to score two or more goals in consecutive FIFA World Cup knockout matches, behind only Pelé, who achieved the feat in 1958 at 17 years and 249 days old.
With six goals, Bellingham also equaled James Rodríguez as the midfielder with the most goals in a single World Cup and matched Gary Lineker's record for the most goals scored by an England player in a major international tournament, set at the 1986 World Cup.
