The Investigating Court No. 3 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, located in Gran Canaria, has officially prosecuted Real Madrid defender Raúl Asencio and three of his former youth teammates—Andrés García, Ferrán Ruiz, and Juan Rodríguez—for allegedly recording and sharing explicit images of two women, one of whom was a minor, without their consent.

As confirmed in a statement released Wednesday by the Canary Islands High Court, the judge overseeing the case has issued an order concluding the investigation phase and formally initiating criminal proceedings against the four accused. This development now allows the Prosecutor’s Office and the legal representatives of the victims to file charges and request the commencement of a trial.

The judge identified signs of multiple criminal offenses: unauthorized recording and invasion of privacy (Article 197.1 of the Spanish Penal Code), dissemination of the videos without the victims' consent (Article 197.3), and the involvement of a minor in pornographic material, including possession (Articles 189.1 and 189.5).
