He began by addressing the goalkeeping situation: “For next season, Courtois is obviously a guaranteed starter in goal. And with Lunin, Real Madrid will be waiting to see what the Ukrainian decides. If he asks to leave and receives an offer, the club won't flatly refuse, but they're not exactly looking to sell him either,” the commentator explains.

The discussion then moved to the defensive line and the situation of Dani Carvajal. “It's highly likely that Dani Carvajal won't be staying. I don't think his continued presence is 100% ruled out, but it's not easy for him to accept being a substitute. At the moment, Arbeloa doesn't think he's in the right physical condition or at the right level to start in the big games,” Álvarez de Mon stated.
