According to AS journalist Joaquín Maroto, the board may already be leaning toward parting ways with Ancelotti, and the recent loss to Valencia at the Santiago Bernabéu could be seen as the final nail in the coffin for the Italian manager—regardless of how the season ends.

Further insight into the coaching situation came from Marca journalist José Félix Díaz, who shared updates on Rubén Martín’s Twitch channel. While many believe Alonso is a done deal, Díaz remains cautious: “Xabi Alonso’s camp keeps saying there’s been no contact, but based on what I’m hearing, he could end up being Ancelotti’s replacement.”

He also addressed speculation surrounding Jürgen Klopp. “I’ve been told there was a meeting between someone connected to Real Madrid and Klopp,” he revealed—though he personally doubts a move for the former Liverpool manager will materialize.

One thing is clear: Real Madrid is actively monitoring the coaching market. While Xabi Alonso remains the favorite to take charge at the Bernabéu, Klopp’s name has not been entirely ruled out.
