Ibrahima Konaté has suffered an injury during France's training camp and will return to Real Madrid to continue his recovery, the French national team has announced. The center-back has sustained a minor sprain in his right knee and will miss France's four Nations League matches against Turkey this Friday, Belgium on September 28 and October 5, and Italy on October 2.
Konaté left Wednesday's training session as a precaution after feeling pain in his knee. An MRI scan carried out later revealed the minor sprain.
It remains to be seen whether the center-back will recover in time for Real Madrid's return to competition. The injury is not considered serious, but the team will be available for the restart of LaLiga after the international break, when they face Villarreal on October 10 at 9:00 PM.
