Toni Kroos did not have an easy week in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi fans, who didn't forget or forgive the Madridista's criticism of football in that country or specific elements of Arab culture, have been whistling at the German ever since he entered the game in the second half of the Super Cup semi-final derby on Wednesday.

In that first encounter, the whistles for Madrid's number 8 were particularly loud; they lessened a little in the final, but the local fans' protestations became apparent as soon as the German's name was called before the game.

Actually, neither the importance of the match nor the rivalry with Barcelona prevented Kroos from hearing whistles again in the Clásico, although Real Madrid fans were the majority in the stadium.

After the game, Kroos continued his silent protests to the local fans. The German was the only player who did not wear a special shirt with the number 13 (updated number of white titles in this tournament) and the word champions in Arabic.
