Joan Laporta chose not to disclose the details of his conversation with Florentino Pérez during the Spanish Super Cup final. However, the Barcelona president took the opportunity to personally thank his Real Madrid counterpart for his supportive stance regarding the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. Laporta expressed his gratitude, acknowledging Pérez’s neutrality and even backing Barcelona’s position: “I won't reveal what I discussed with Florentino and the other presidents. What I can say is that I appreciate the clubs that did not oppose our decision. There was a sense of harmony with Florentino, as we already had most of the registration issues sorted.”

Laporta also mentioned that both he and Pérez agreed that improvements are needed for future editions of the Super Cup in Saudi Arabia, particularly regarding organisational and financial aspects. “Florentino and I discussed the Super Cup in Saudi Arabia. While the event was well-organised, there are some things we need to improve, especially related to the travel and logistics involved,” Laporta said.
