In an interview on El Larguero, a program on Cadena SER, Aymeric Laporte addressed the rumors linking him with a potential move to Real Madrid during the upcoming winter transfer window. The Spanish defender, currently playing for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, did not hide his interest in returning to Europe and potentially joining one of the world’s most prestigious clubs.

When asked about the rumors, Laporte responded, “Real Madrid’s interest? Well, I’m not really aware of it, I’ve only read the same things as you. It sounds good. Obviously, I would listen to Real Madrid’s call, teams like this are not to be sniffed at."

Real Madrid, in need of defensive reinforcements after Éder Militão's injury, have reportedly turned their attention to Laporte. The club attempted to sign him last summer, but the deal fell through due to various complications at the time.

Having joined Al-Nassr a year and a half ago from Manchester City, Laporte has expressed a clear desire to return to European football. According to José Álvarez, a journalist from El Chiringuito de Jugones and a close friend of the defender, Laporte is even willing to accept a significant salary reduction to make the move to Real Madrid possible.

Al-Nassr is reportedly open to letting Laporte leave for a fee close to €15 million, a price that could facilitate his transfer to the Spanish giants in January.
