Trent Alexander-Arnold's contract is set to expire on June 30, and Liverpool are starting to accept the reality that he may not renew. In fact, according to Marca, the club may even be open to selling the English full-back in January to avoid losing him on a free transfer in the summer.

While there has been no direct contact between Real Madrid and Liverpool, the team at Valdebebas is aware that the Reds could consider a winter transfer for Alexander-Arnold if the right offer comes along. However, Real Madrid's decision to pursue the English star will depend on the squad’s performance and defensive needs over the next few weeks under Carlo Ancelotti.

Even though Liverpool has opened the door to a potential January deal, it doesn’t necessarily mean that Real Madrid will make an immediate move. Alexander-Arnold is on the radar at Chamartín, but for now, the club seems content to finish the season relying on Lucas Vázquez and Éder Militão as their main options at right-back. Real Madrid is still exploring defensive reinforcements due to Dani Carvajal's injury, and Alexander-Arnold remains a viable option if an opportunity arises.
