Luka Modric's future at Real Madrid has been brought into question, with speculation about a possible January transfer not being ruled out.
Predrag Mijatovic, a former Real Madrid player and director who also happens to be close to Modric's camp, has stated that the American league has made proposals to the Croatian international, with Inter Miami in particular expressing a significant interest.
Mijatovic claims that David Beckham, a co-owner of Inter Miami, recently spoke with the Real Madrid midfielder to discuss the possibilities of a transfer.
Lionel Messi, the new star of Inter Miami, has also expressed interest in partnering with Modric, according to the same source.
"He has received offers from the United States and Inter Miami in particular. He already received an offer from Saudi Arabia, but he wanted to stay at Madrid," Mijatovic revealed to SER radio station and continued that "Messi has been personally interested in the possibility. In Croatia a few days ago, Modric was seen having dinner with David Beckham.”
It will be interesting to see if this leads to Modric leaving Real Madrid in January or if he decides to stay and finish the season in Madrid. But given the current situation, it seems that the 38-year-old's time with Los Blancos will come to an end soon.
