The tradition of “passing the torch from father to daughter” is becoming increasingly common in football, with more girls now able to pursue the sport from a young age and aspire to a professional career.

Ema Modric, born in Madrid in 2013, is the latest to follow in her father Luka’s footsteps. The young player has joined La Fábrica and will begin wearing the Real Madrid shirt after signing for the club’s Cadete team.

Although Ema’s most recent club was Milan, she had already experienced playing in white during her childhood. She previously played for Madrid CFF’s youth academy, where she wore the club’s white and pink colors.

Born in the Spanish capital in April 2013, Ema grew up witnessing her father’s success at Real Madrid. As a child, she was often seen running onto the pitch and playing football with her brothers during the team’s celebrations.

Since Real Madrid’s girls’ academy begins at Cadete level, Ema had previously been able to play for Madrid CFF, where she remained until the Alevín level. She will now continue her development at La Fábrica, following the path established by her father.
