Andriy Lunin has made his intentions clear for the upcoming season: he wants to stay at Real Madrid. The Ukrainian goalkeeper is happy both personally and professionally in Madrid, and despite receiving several offers, none match the conditions he enjoys at the club.

Last summer, Lunin extended his contract until June 30, 2030. Prior to the Club World Cup, he communicated to Real Madrid his desire to continue and embrace the new chapter under head coach Xabi Alonso, who is currently leading the team in the United States.

Although he’s fully aware of the challenge posed by competing with Thibaut Courtois, who remains the undisputed first-choice, Lunin is determined to keep working hard and be ready whenever the team needs him. His professionalism and effort are highly valued by goalkeeping coach Luis Llopis, who is reportedly very pleased with his performance and attitude.

The only scenario that might change Lunin’s stance would be the arrival of a highly attractive offer from a top-five European league club offering guaranteed first-team football. However, that possibility is not currently on the table, nor is the player actively pursuing such an exit.

Recent reports have linked Galatasaray and newly promoted Real Oviedo to Lunin, but the goalkeeper has no interest in those options at this stage.

Both the club and the player are aligned in their vision for the future: to continue working together without considering any transfer this summer.
