Daniel Brizuela, the scout who discovered Argentine talent Franco Mastantuono, shared his thoughts on the young star’s footballing future during an interview with Radio Marca.

Despite the growing hype around the player, Brizuela insists he always envisioned Mastantuono wearing white: "He has the profile of a European footballer. I always said he was destined for Real Madrid. He plays in a stadium with 80,000 people like it’s his own backyard. His values and discipline are exceptional. Everything happening to him now is because of his own efforts—nothing was handed to him.”

Brizuela is confident Mastantuono will make a big impact both for Argentina and Real Madrid: "He’ll be at the next World Cup, no doubt. He’s the natural heir to the No. 10 shirt of the Argentina national team.”

Regarding his style of play, Brizuela added: "He likes to be the conductor, the one who leads the orchestra. He needs to have the ball—he’s got a chessboard in his head.”

Now, it’s up to Xabi Alonso to guide his development. The Real Madrid coach played a key role in accelerating the player’s signing before January. Mastantuono’s full potential is expected to shine in the coming months.
