The past week has been particularly eventful for Kylian Mbappé due to a series of controversies surrounding his activities away from the pitch. The French forward came under scrutiny after photos emerged of him in Paris, although several reports clarified that Real Madrid had given him permission to travel because he was still unable to train.

Mbappé was back in the spotlight yesterday after sharing photos of himself riding a bicycle, despite José Mourinho's recent warning about the risks of the activity for footballers.

The latest controversy followed comments made by Javier Tintó on Radio Marca. The journalist claimed that Mbappé's recent behavior was linked to tensions surrounding the Ballon d'Or during the derby against Atlético Madrid.

"During the week of the derby, Mbappé asked the club for a campaign in support of his Ballon d'Or. The club refused, which triggered a change in his attitude. He was angry. He also asked Zidane for this effort."

Mbappé has since directly rejected Tintó's claims, responding to the Radio Marca post in which the comments were shared.

"Yes, yes, I even got angry with my great-aunt," the Real Madrid No. 10 replied ironically.

The Frenchman appears increasingly frustrated by the constant stream of reports surrounding him and believes he has become the target of a smear campaign by certain media outlets.
