He delivered a stunning hat-trick, scoring three goals in seven minutes (22’, 24’, 29’)—six minutes and 43 seconds to be exact. It is the second-fastest hat-trick in Champions League history, behind Mohamed Salah’s six-minute, 12-second effort for Liverpool against Rangers in 2022. Mbappé crowned his night with a fourth goal in the second half.

As for the first-half explosion, Mbappé has scored multiple hat-tricks in his career, but none as fast as the one he produced against Olympiacos. Those seven furious minutes completely reversed a match that had begun with Chiquinho’s opener for the home side.

Mbappé rescued Real Madrid with four goals, taking his season tally to 22, nine of them in the Champions League after just five matches. His two goals against Marseille, a hat-trick against Kairat, and now four against Olympiacos have propelled him into elite company. Only Cristiano Ronaldo (2015–16 vs Malmö), Puskás (vs Feyenoord 1965–66 and Eintracht Frankfurt 1959–60), and Di Stéfano (vs Wiener Köln 1958–59 and Sevilla 1957–58) have scored four goals in a single match for Real Madrid.
