Kylian Mbappé’s entourage has responded to the controversy surrounding his recent trip to Sardinia while recovering from injury, insisting that the visit was authorized by both the club and medical staff.

The forward returned to Madrid last Sunday ahead of the match against Espanyol. He trained with the squad the following day and completed an individual session on his day off, with the aim of being available for El Clásico on Sunday.

In a statement released via AFP, his entourage said: "Some of the criticism is based on an overinterpretation of elements related to a recovery period strictly managed by the club, without reflecting the reality of Kylian's daily involvement and his work for the team."

The situation has generated concern within Real Madrid due to the impact on the player’s public image, which has faced scrutiny in recent months. Despite this, the club’s leadership continues to support Mbappé, a long-term target of Florentino Pérez, and remains aware that the forward will continue to attract close attention.
