As published by El Debate, Luis Medina Cantalejo has been denounced for alleged crimes of criminal organization and corruption in business. The president of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) is accused of manipulating VAR images and hiding evidence with the aim of harming Real Madrid.

The names of referees Carlos Clos Gómez, head of the VAR, and Santiago Jaime Latre are also included in the complaint.

The complaint points to "manipulation, theft and concealment" of VAR images: "When Real Madrid plays, the appropriate frame is chosen with unusual frequency, which always harms them, regardless of the video assistant referee and the assistant who are designated for that game".

It reveals "the tendency that VAR referees have to choose the frame most appropriate to their fraudulent interests", that "the dubious play is analyzed in two frames instead of a single one", that "the images that could clarify a dubious play" and "the attacks that several players have suffered, mainly from Real Madrid."

In addition to Medina Cantalejo, Clos Gómez and Jaime Latre, there are also the names of Ricardo de Burgos, Guillermo Cuadra, César Soto, Alejandro Muñiz, Pablo González Fuertes, Juan Luis Pulido Santana, David Medié and Ignacio Iglesias, some also immersed in the Negreira case.
