Real Madrid have named their squad for the upcoming European Super Cup final. Due to Alaba's injury and the summer departure of Nacho, academy center-back Jacobo Ramon has been included in the squad.
According to Marca, it was initially 16-year-old Joan Martinez, who impressed Carlo Ancelotti during pre-season, who was set to join the squad in Poland. However, Martinez sustained an ACL injury last week, rendering him unavailable.
Ancelotti has opted to replace Martinez with Jacobo Ramon, a 19-year-old center-back who made his Real Madrid debut against Barcelona in the pre-season Clasico on August 4. Jacobo, a regular for the Juvenil A team, has made six appearances for Castilla and recently won the U19 Euros with Spain.
Known for his aerial prowess, speed, and ability to read the game, Jacobo is seen as a promising talent. With a contract until 2028, Los Blancos have high hopes for him as a future first-team option. This season, he is expected to train with the first team while continuing to play for Castilla.
