Ferland Mendy has been ruled out of Real Madrid's upcoming match against Atalanta due to a muscle injury in his right quadriceps. This was confirmed after he was accompanied by the club's medical staff at Montilivi, and a subsequent medical report released on Sunday. The injury is expected to sideline the French full-back for three weeks, meaning he will not return to action until 2025.
Mendy sustained the injury during the second half of the Girona match, feeling pain in his right quadriceps while attempting to dribble the ball. With Mendy out, Fran García, who was substituted against Girona, is set to step up and start in Bergamo for the Champions League fixture.
