As reported by Marca, Ferland Mendy is set to sign a new contract with Real Madrid, extending his stay until June 30, 2027, with an option for an additional season.

Mendy's new salary will be performance-based, depending on his number of appearances each season. Real Madrid recognizes Mendy's world-class potential when fit but is also aware of his injury-prone nature.

With Mendy's future at the club secured, Fran García is expected to remain as his backup. Marca also notes that the likelihood of signing Alphonso Davies this summer has diminished.

Real Madrid has prioritized renewing Mendy's contract to satisfy Carlo Ancelotti, who views the French defender as crucial for the team's balance.
