José Mourinho has denied any contact with Real Madrid regarding a potential return as manager for the 2026-27 season.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Benfica’s match against Famalicão, the Portuguese coach was clear when addressing the rumors.
“No, no one from Real Madrid has spoken to me, I can guarantee that,” Mourinho stated, downplaying the speculation linking him to the Spanish club.
He added that such rumors are common in football and should not be overinterpreted, given his long experience in the game.
Mourinho also reaffirmed his current situation at Benfica, noting that he still has one year remaining on his contract and remains focused on his present role.
