José Mourinho has made it clear that he will not hesitate to discipline any Real Madrid player who fails to meet their obligations on or off the pitch, regardless of their status. Speaking at his press conference, the coach strongly defended Kylian Mbappé, describing the controversy surrounding the Frenchman as "ridiculous" and insisting that he has fulfilled everything the club has asked of him.

Mourinho also delivered a firm message to Real Madrid supporters, promising that any player who fails to behave as a representative of the club should will face consequences.

"I promise that if a Real Madrid player doesn't behave like a Real Madrid player and fails to live up to his obligations as a player or as a citizen, you won't see that player on the bench. You won't be able to boo him. He'll be at home. I won't give him the chance to sit on the bench. And Mbappé is going to play. He won't even be on the bench. I'm sure he hasn't failed in his obligations to Real Madrid."

The Portuguese coach then explained why he believes the criticism of Mbappé has gone too far. He pointed to the forward's knee problem and the decision to seek a second medical opinion, arguing that the subsequent stories surrounding his recovery had turned into an unnecessary search for controversy.

Then there was the bicycle in Switzerland, where there were a couple of bikes to go to the spa, to the common areas, and to places of absolute tranquility. And we get to minor cases, like poor Huijsen, who was standing at Pitarch's house sending a message and looked almost like a criminal..."
