Real Madrid have made significant changes to their squad during the summer transfer window, with several arrivals and departures leaving José Mourinho with plenty of decisions to make regarding his starting lineup. While his plans are still taking shape, the Portuguese coach's preferred style and the roles he has in mind for several players are becoming increasingly clear.

According to COPE journalist Arancha Rodríguez, an initial idea of Mourinho's potential starting XI for the new season is beginning to emerge.

Thibaut Courtois would remain in goal, while the defense would consist of four players. Ibrahima Konaté and Antonio Rüdiger would form the central defensive partnership, with Marc Cucurella and Trent Alexander-Arnold occupying the full-back positions.

In midfield, Fede Valverde and Bernardo Silva would form the double pivot, with Jude Bellingham operating in a more advanced midfield role. The attacking trio would then consist of Yan Diomandé, Vinicius Júnior, and Kylian Mbappé, with Diomandé starting on the right wing.

Under this initial plan, Aurélien Tchouaméni would begin the season as a substitute, although he would remain an important player in Mourinho's rotation. This would represent a change from last season, when the Frenchman was considered a regular starter.

The potential lineup would also feature as many as four new signings, although Konaté's place is the least certain given the number of options Real Madrid have in central defense.

Another notable change would be Bellingham's position. Rather than playing deeper in midfield, the Englishman would return to a more advanced role, allowing him to make more frequent runs into the box and exploit one of the areas where he can be most dangerous.
