Real Madrid's sporting department continues to work on several outstanding issues during the transfer window, with Raúl Asencio's future remaining one of the biggest decisions to resolve.
The centre-back is reportedly not considered a priority for José Mourinho's plans for next season, and the club is open to listening to offers. However, two obstacles have complicated a possible exit: the lack of concrete proposals and the player's salary expectations.
According to journalist Alberto Pereiro, Mourinho has already informed Asencio directly that he is not part of his plans for the upcoming campaign. As a result, Real Madrid are exploring the possibility of a departure, with a loan deal including a purchase option viewed as the preferred solution.
A temporary move would allow Asencio to gain the regular playing time needed to continue his development, while an option to buy would give his next club the opportunity to make the transfer permanent if his performances meet expectations.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid continue to monitor defensive reinforcements, with Alessandro Bastoni still among the profiles being considered. However, the club's priority remains clear: departures must be completed before any major defensive signing can be made.
